Prime Minister Tareque Rahman said a certain party is misleading the public by exploiting the country’s energy crisis.
He made the remarks Saturday (Sept. 5) afternoon while speaking at a discussion marking the BNP’s founding anniversary, held at the auditorium of the Krishibid Institution Bangladesh (KIB) in the capital’s Farmgate.
Expressing sympathy for everyone affected by the energy crisis, the prime minister said legal action would be taken against those creating unrest in the country by exploiting the crisis. The discussion began with a minute of silence in memory of BNP founder President Ziaur Rahman, the party’s former chairperson and prime minister Begum Khaleda Zia, and all of the party’s martyrs. The national anthem was performed first, followed by the party anthem. A documentary on the BNP was then screened.
