2 easy-bike passengers killed after train collision

Two people died on the spot after an easy-bike was mangled in a collision with the Rupshi Bangla train from Dhaka in the Krishnabati area of Jashore.

The deceased were Azizur Rahman, 40, and Ershad Ali, 45, of Tafsidanga village in Sadar upazila. Both were passengers in the easy-bike. The accident took place in the Krishnabati area at noon on Saturday, September 26.

According to eyewitnesses and preliminary information, the Rupshi Bangla train was traveling from Dhaka toward Jashore. At that time, an easy-bike collided with the train in the Krishnabati area. The easy-bike was mangled, and Azizur Rahman and Ershad Ali, who were inside it, died on the spot.

After receiving the news, railway police reached the scene and began rescue work. The bodies of the two deceased were later recovered.

SI Mamun of Jashore railway station GRP police said the bodies of the two people killed in the accident had been recovered. Legal action over the incident is under process.
