Jibannagar Quran hafez, 14, missing for five days

Sihab Hossain, 14, a hafez who has memorized 21 parts of the Quran, has been missing for the past five days from Ghugragachhi village, Andulbaria union, Jibannagar upazila, Chuadanga. His family has spent the days since in deep anxiety and distress, unable to locate him.

The missing teenager, Sihab Hossain, is the son of farmer Jahangir Mondol of Ghugragachhi village. He is a student at Andulbaria Paresh Shah Dargah Madrasa. According to information provided by his family, Sihab left home around 6 p.m. Friday, August 21, headed for the madrasa. Family members later learned, however, that he never arrived there.

Family members subsequently searched various likely locations but found no trace of him. Despite inquiries at the homes of relatives and acquaintances and in other locations, no confirmed information about Sihab’s whereabouts has emerged so far.

Sihab’s disappearance has left his family in deep anxiety and distress. The family is appealing for everyone’s help in locating their son. A general diary has been filed at Jibannagar police station (GD number 1200, dated August 25, 2026). The family is seeking the cooperation of local administration, law enforcement and people from all walks of life to help find Sihab quickly.
