Gaza’s death toll has risen to 73,305 after 12 people were killed in the past 24 hours in Israel’s continuing military offensive, according to the territory’s health ministry. A further 173,918 people have been wounded.
The ministry said 12 Palestinians were killed and another 12 wounded in Israeli attacks over the past 24 hours. Israel is continuing attacks on Gaza in violation of the ceasefire and further expanding its control over the territory, it said.
Many victims remain trapped under rubble and in the streets, the ministry said, because ambulances and civil-defence teams still cannot reach them.
