US Ambassador to Bangladesh Brent T. Christensen met with Foreign Minister Dr Khalilur Rahman and Deputy Foreign Minister Humayun Kabir.
The meeting was held Tuesday, August 25, at the Padma State Guest House in Dhaka.
The meeting was part of ongoing bilateral discussions between Bangladesh and the United States on various issues. Both sides are understood to have discussed strengthening bilateral cooperation and advancing relations in areas of mutual interest.
Neither side provided immediate details about the meeting.
Diplomatic sources said the discussion likely covered matters of mutual interest, the overall Bangladesh-US relationship, the regional situation, and prospects for future cooperation. Since the new government took office, Ambassador Christensen has maintained regular contact and dialogue with Bangladesh’s foreign-policy leadership.
