DHAKA — The final admissions process for first-year undergraduate (honors) seats in the 2024-25 academic year at 19 public universities in the cluster admission system begins Sunday and will continue through Aug. 7, an official notice said.
Selected students must complete admission at their respective universities within that window, the notice said. Classes at all cluster universities will begin Aug. 11.
Students must complete final admission at the university where they have been selected, according to information shown in their student panel and the university’s specified procedure, the notice said. Any student who has submitted original transcripts to another university must retrieve them and submit them to the admitting university within the deadline. No admission activity will be accepted after the scheduled period.
The notice also said first-year classes at all cluster universities will begin Aug. 11 and that detailed admission information has been posted on each university’s website.
In the 2024-25 academic year, students are admitted to first-year undergraduate seats at the 19 cluster public universities through a single combined admission test.
Previously, only candidates who passed the entrance test were eligible to apply for admission to the universities of their choice, subject to each institution’s requirements. Admissions were determined by the test results. Each student took only one admission test corresponding to their Higher Secondary Certificate stream of science, humanities or commerce.
