DHAKA — BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has called an emergency meeting of the party’s top policymaking forum, the standing committee, for Thursday evening at the chairperson’s office in Gulshan, party officials said.
The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. and will be chaired by Tarique Rahman, said Shairul Kabir Khan, a member of the party’s media cell.
The meeting will discuss the latest political situation in the country, the ongoing election process, party organizational activities and other important national issues, according to party sources. Members of the BNP national standing committee will attend.
