Mujibur Rahman Memorial Foundation holds scholarship exam in Dhamoirhat

NAOGAON — The Mujibur Rahman Memorial Foundation held its secondary scholarship examination in Naogaon’s Dhamoirhat upazila, with 1,229 sixth-to-eighth-grade students from 27 secondary schools taking part, organizers said.

The examination began at 11 a.m. on Tuesday (Dec. 9) at Dhamoirhat Safia Pilot High School.

Teachers of Safia Pilot High School, room invigilators, heads of participating schools and local administration officials helped conduct the exam in an orderly environment, organizers said.

Mohammad Alamgir Kabir, chairman of the Mujibur Rahman Memorial Foundation and general secretary of BAPA, attended the event.

“The Mujibur Rahman Memorial Foundation regularly organizes this scholarship examination to encourage talented students in the region and to improve the quality of education,” Kabir said. “We want to continue this program on an even wider scale in the future.”

Kabir said 36 students from one municipality and eight unions of the upazila would receive scholarships for the 2025 academic year. An additional six students would receive scholarships under the thana talent pool.

Also present were Academic Supervisor Kajal Kumar Sarkar; Khelal-i-Rabbani, retired head teacher of Chakmayram Government Model High School and coordinator of the secondary scholarship examination; Abdur Rahman, head teacher of Safia Pilot High School; Jahangir Alam Liton, school managing committee president and Jubo Dal leader; and Sabiha Yasmin, head teacher of the Girls’ High School.
