Six people have died with suspected measles across the country in the past 24 hours, according to a press release from the control room of the Directorate General of Health Services on Thursday.
It said the number of suspected measles patients in the past 24 hours was 733, and that from 15 March to 6 August the number of suspected measles patients was 133,638. The number of confirmed measles patients in the past 24 hours was 85, and from 15 March to 6 August the number of confirmed measles patients was 16,740. From 15 March to 6 August, 115,879 patients were hospitalised with suspected measles, and in the same period 111,587 recovered and were discharged. Six people died with suspected measles in the past 24 hours, and from 15 March to 6 August a total of 764 children died with suspected measles. No one died of confirmed measles in the past 24 hours, and 96 people have died of confirmed measles from 15 March to 6 August.
