Eight more people have died of measles or measles-like symptoms in the country in the past 24 hours. In the same period, 1,185 people were admitted to hospital with measles symptoms. The information was given in a press release from the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) control room on Monday.
The DGHS said that, from 15 March to 8am on 7 June, 79,012 patients with suspected measles symptoms had been found and 9,686 confirmed measles patients identified so far. In that period, 64,263 people were admitted to hospital with suspected measles symptoms, and 60,064 have so far recovered and been discharged.
