Three more people died with measles symptoms nationwide in the past 24 hours. In the same period, 1,044 new suspected and confirmed measles cases were reported.
The information was released in a press statement sent Thursday by the Directorate General of Health Services’ (DGHS) control room.
It said 964 patients were identified with measles symptoms in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of measles cases from March 15 through Sept. 3 to 161,148.
The number of confirmed measles cases in the past 24 hours was 80. From March 15 through Sept. 3, the number of confirmed measles cases stood at 19,527.
From March 15 through Sept. 3, a total of 141,449 people were hospitalized with measles symptoms.
In the same period, 136,405 people recovered and were discharged from hospitals.
Three people died with measles symptoms in the past 24 hours. From March 15 through Sept. 3, a total of 887 children have died with measles symptoms.
No deaths among confirmed measles cases were reported in the past 24 hours. From March 15 through Sept. 3, 99 people have died from confirmed measles.
