The government has appointed a new managing director and a chairman of the board of directors of Sammilito Islami Bank. Abedur Rahman Sikder, deputy managing director of Dutch-Bangla Bank, has been appointed managing director, and Kazi Shayrul Hasan has been appointed chairman. The information was given on Monday in two separate notifications from the Financial Institutions Division of the Ministry of Finance.
The notifications said managing director Abedur Rahman Sikder and chairman Kazi Shayrul Hasan have been appointed for three years from the date of their joining. The board chairman has been asked to take the next steps regarding Abedur Rahman Sikder’s appointment in accordance with the Bank Company Act, 1991.
