Rabeya Khatun, a schoolteacher injured after falling from a moving motorcycle in Shailkupa, Jhenaidah, has died. She died Wednesday afternoon while undergoing treatment at Kushtia Sadar Hospital.
Khatun was an assistant teacher at Nadpara Jubo Milon Secondary School in the upazila. She was a resident of Nadpara village and the wife of Md Kabir Uddin Biswas, an assistant professor at Katla Gari Degree College.
Witness Wazed Ali Member said Khatun was seriously injured Tuesday evening after falling from a moving motorcycle at a place called Bangram while traveling from Kushtia. She was rescued and admitted to Kushtia Medical College Hospital for treatment, where she died Wednesday afternoon.
Shailkupa police station investigating officer Shakil Ahmed confirmed that a teacher from Nadpara school, identified as Mosammat Rabeya Khatun, had died while undergoing treatment at Kushtia hospital following the road accident.
