MEHERPUR — Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami held a training workshop for election cadres of the Meherpur-1 and Meherpur-2 constituencies at the Meherpur municipal community center, organized by the party’s Meherpur district unit.
The workshop was conducted by Iqbal Hossain, secretary of the district Jamaat unit, and presided over by Maulana Tajuddin Khan, the party’s parliamentary candidate for Meherpur-1 and chief of the district unit. Dr. Alamgir Biswas, a member of the Jashore-Kushtia regional team, served as chief trainer. The chief guest was Adv. Ruhul Amin, the party’s parliamentary candidate for Chuadanga-2 and chief of the Chuadanga district unit.
Also present were Maulana Mahbub-ul Alam, deputy chief of the Meherpur district Jamaat unit; Jarjis Hussain, district election director; Nazmul Huda, the party’s nominated candidate for Meherpur-2; Khairul Bashar, member-secretary of the Meherpur-1 election committee; Kazi Ruhul Amin, district political secretary; Abdur Rouf Mukul, president of the Workers’ Welfare Federation Meherpur district unit; Maulana Sohel Rana, chief of the Meherpur Sadar Jamaat unit; Maulana Khanjahan Ali, chief of the Mujibnagar upazila unit; Sohel Rana Dollar, chief of the Meherpur municipal unit; Dr. Rabiul Islam, chief of the Gangni upazila unit; and Ahsan Ullah, chief of the Gangni municipal unit.
