Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has left Dhaka at the invitation of Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim. A Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight carrying the prime minister and his entourage departed Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka for Kuala Lumpur at around 3 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.
After the Malaysia visit, he will travel directly to China at the invitation of Chinese Premier Li Qiang. On June 25, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will hold bilateral talks with Premier Li Qiang. As part of the official visit, he will also meet Chinese President Xi Jinping on June 26.
The prime minister is expected to return home on Friday night.
