A five-day holiday has been announced for Durga Puja this year. The announcement was made by a government executive order on Tuesday (September 29), declaring a holiday from October 20 to 24.
The holidays announced earlier for Durga Puja this year were October 20 and 21 (Tuesday and Wednesday). The government has now declared Thursday, October 22, a holiday as well. With the Friday and Saturday weekend (October 23 and 24), the Durga Puja break now runs for five days in a row.
