The time after the Fajr prayer is deeply blessed in both spiritual and physical terms. According to the Quran and Sunnah, Allah’s mercy and sustenance are distributed at this time; and according to medical science, rising at dawn is most beneficial for body and mind.

In the light of the Quran and Sunnah. A prayer for blessing: the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) prayed for blessing in his ummah’s morning work (Sunan Abu Dawud). The distribution of sustenance: according to hadith, Allah distributes His servants’ sustenance in the time from Fajr to sunrise. The reward of voluntary worship: praying Fajr in congregation and remaining engaged in dhikr and supplication until sunrise, then praying two rakats of Ishraq, earns the reward of a complete Hajj and Umrah. The presence of angels: at the time of Fajr, the angels of the night and the day gather and observe the servant’s worship (Surah Bani Israil, verse 78).

In the light of medical science. Hormonal balance: the soft dawn light and calm environment help regulate the brain’s serotonin and melatonin, relieving mental stress and increasing energy for the day. Pure air: at this time the amount of oxygen in the air is highest, which is very beneficial for the lungs and nervous system. Preventing heart disease: rising early keeps the heart’s blood circulation normal, greatly reducing the risk of blood clots and stroke. By not sleeping after Fajr and instead reciting the Quran and engaging in dhikr, one can make use of the best time of the day.
