Van driver dies of electrocution in Chougacha

A van driver named Abdur Rahim Loba, 58, has died of electrocution in Chougacha, Jashore. The accident happened at noon on Monday (July 13).

The deceased van driver, Abdur Rahim Loba, was the son of the late Montu Miah of Madhabpur Para in Ballavpur village of the upazila’s Sukhpukuria union. He was the father of three children.

Eyewitnesses said that at noon on Monday, Abdur Rahim was accidentally electrocuted and injured while disconnecting his battery-run auto-van from charging. Local people rescued him and took him to the Chougacha Government Model Hospital, where the doctor on duty declared him dead. Chougacha police station officer-in-charge (OC) Mamunur Rashid confirmed the incident.
