The 11-party alliance held a human chain program in front of the National Parliament building demanding implementation of the referendum verdict and trial for genocide. The program began around 1:45pm on Tuesday, with leaders from various levels of the alliance, including Jamaat-e-Islami, speaking at the event.
Earlier, Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Mia Golam Parwar, along with leaders of the 11-party alliance and a delegation of martyrs’ families, went to the Speaker’s office from the venue to submit a memorandum listing various demands.
