Russia has claimed it intercepted and destroyed 605 Ukrainian drones. In a statement, its defence ministry said drone attacks had been repelled overnight on Wednesday across Moscow, the Black Sea and other Russian regions.
Black smoke was seen over the Russian city of Yaroslavl on Thursday morning after the Ukrainian drone attack. Regional governor Mikhail Evrayev said the largest attack on the area had been carried out overnight, claiming 92 Ukrainian drones had been destroyed. One of Russia’s largest oil refineries is located in Yaroslavl.
Meanwhile, in Ukraine, Russian attacks killed three people in the town of Balakliya and injured 12 in Sumy.
