Four more children die with suspected measles in 24 hours

Four more children have died with suspected measles across the country in the past 24 hours, the Directorate General of Health Services said. The information came in a notice issued by its control room on Wednesday, June 17.

The notice said 966 suspected measles cases were recorded in the past 24 hours, and 88,895 suspected cases between March 15 and June 17.

Confirmed measles cases stood at 111 in the past 24 hours and at 10,634 between March 15 and June 17, it said.

Four people died with suspected measles in the past 24 hours, but there were no deaths from confirmed measles in that period, according to the notice. Between March 15 and June 17, a total of 568 children died with suspected measles, and 93 people died of confirmed measles in the same period.
