DHAKA — Prime Minister Tarique Rahman rode in a special smart car built by Wakimul Islam, a physically disabled college student, in a gesture of encouragement to the young inventor.
The prime minister inspected the smart car at his office in Tejgaon, Dhaka, on Saturday morning, May 9.
Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister A.B.M. Abdus Sattar, Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Rumon, Deputy Press Secretary Jahidul Islam Roni, Mostafa Zulfiqar Hasan (Hasan Shiplu) and Shahadat Hossain Swadhin were among those present.
Rifat is the son of day laborer Abu Khair from Brak Para in Chougachha, Jashore. He is an 11th-grade student at Chougachha Government College.
