Law Minister Md Asaduzzaman has said the government will decide on the Mecca agreement after considering all factors.
He made the remarks Saturday, August 29, at 11 a.m., responding to reporters’ questions after a reception for outstanding students at Jhenaidah Collectorate School and College.
On relations with India, the law minister said India will act according to its own foreign policy, and Bangladesh will act according to its own. India will proceed in its own way, he said, and Bangladesh will proceed in its own way.
Asked about the overall law-and-order situation, the law minister said whether the government is satisfied with the law-and-order situation is not the main issue. He said the government is working tirelessly to keep the law-and-order situation normal.
The law minister also spoke about e-judiciary, or the digitization of the judiciary. He said the government and the Ministry of Law are working on this, and that the government plans to implement e-judiciary within the next year.
At the event, chaired by Deputy Commissioner Md Noman Hossain, the prime minister’s political assistant Rashed Khan attended as special guest.
