After a short break, acclaimed singer Fahmida Nabi has released a new solo song, titled “Ovimaner Sheshe” (At the End of Sulking). The song — with lyrics such as “Avoiding the crowd of a hundred people, I lose myself in solitude; counting the colours of the rainbow, dust gathers in the room of memory” — was written by Raju Chowdhury.

Fahmida Nabi has always given priority to melody, and with that in mind, Ehsan Rahi composed “Ovimaner Sheshe” holding to melody. The music was arranged by Suman Kalyan.

The song’s animation video was made by Creative Galleria under the supervision of Amir Khasru, produced by Koushik Kollol. The song was recently released on the Shabdo Karigor YouTube channel.

Speaking about the new song, Fahmida Nabi said: “This song brings the feelings of love and separation together anew, bound in seven notes. Lyricist Raju Chowdhury has tried to leave a mark of aesthetics in his verse. Ehsan Rahi too gave priority to melody in the tune. Suman Kalyan’s arrangement is also fitting for the times. There is a difference in the lyrical video too. All in all, ‘Ovimaner Sheshe’ is just the kind of song my fans wait for. I hope this work leaves a mark on many hearts.”

Alongside this new solo song, Fahmida Nabi is busy with several other songs of a different style.
