Special directives have been issued to keep all hospitals across the country clean round the clock, ahead of the current government’s 180-day milestone. Hospitals have also been ordered to ensure biometric attendance at all healthcare facilities by August 17.

The directives were issued in a letter signed by Dr. Abu Hossain Mohammad Moinul Ahsan, director of the health directorate’s Hospital and Clinic branch, on Saturday (July 4).

The six directives include: maintaining cleanliness at all times; ensuring adequate water, sanitation, and waste management; keeping emergency services fully operational; ensuring all medical equipment is functional; submitting compliance reports to the Health and Family Welfare Ministry, the director general, and the director of hospitals; and activating biometric attendance machines at all healthcare facilities by August 17, 2026, with institutional heads held responsible for any failure to comply.
