Opposition leader and Jamaat-e-Islami Amir Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said the country’s market instability is due to the influence of middlemen and hoarders.
On Tuesday (May 12) morning, after inspecting the Shah Ali Pika Market in Mirpur, Dhaka, he told journalists.
The Jamaat Amir said that prices are being artificially inflated through syndicates, putting direct pressure on common people.
Calling on the government to take initiative in market control, he said the opposition party will remain vigilant both inside and outside Parliament to make the market situation bearable for the people.
