Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has unofficially announced its mayoral candidates for the Dhaka North and South city corporation elections.
The party announced the names of its mayoral candidates for Dhaka’s two city corporations on Monday.
According to the announcement, Jamaat’s candidate for the Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) election will be Mohammad Selim Uddin, ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami’s Dhaka north metropolitan unit.
Jamaat’s candidate for the Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) election will be Abu Sadik Kayem, vice-president of the Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU).
