The Indian government has ordered mobile data (internet) services temporarily suspended in central Delhi, particularly at and around the protest site, amid the ongoing youth movement demanding the resignation of the union education minister. Reuters reported this on Thursday.

Two sources who spoke to the agency said the government had directed telecommunications companies to suspend mobile data services in the relevant areas of Delhi.

Meanwhile, the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) has called peaceful protests across the country on Friday, July 24. The movement is largely being led by the party.

The CJP announced the call in a post on the social-media platform X on Thursday. It also renewed its demand for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, calling on citizens in cities and villages across India to join the protests. The party aims to turn the ongoing movement into an all-India mass movement.
