KOTCHANDPUR — Kotchandpur municipal Jamaat-e-Islami in Jhenaidah held a rally of its election officials.
The rally was held under the Quranic verse: “Truth has come and falsehood has vanished. Truth’s victory is inevitable.”
The rally was held at 9 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, at the local Al Falah Islamic Center, chaired by municipal Ameer Muhaddis Abdul Qayyum. It was moderated by municipal Jamaat Secretary Mahfuzul Haque Mintu. Central shura member and Jhenaidah-3 (Kotchandpur-Mahespur) Jamaat parliamentary candidate Professor Motiar Rahman spoke as chief guest.
In brief remarks, Rahman said the rule of the Quran must be established to build a society free of terrorism and extortion. He called on everyone to play a leading role in building a welfare-oriented country.
Other speakers included municipal youth and media secretary Shariful Islam; Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir Kotchandpur upazila president Hafez Mujahidul Islam; ward officials Maulana Shahidul Islam, Shahabuddin Shabu and Bablu Mia, among others.
Professor Motiar Rahman led the closing prayer and supplication.
