TANGAIL — The Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) has solved the 2022 killing of tiler Rafiqul Islam in the Natherpara area of Tangail’s Dhanbari upazila three and a half years later. Maqbul, 55, the husband of Rafiqul’s sister, has been arrested in connection with the case.
Tangail PBI Police Superintendent Mohammad Salahuddin Talukder said at a news conference at his office on Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 14, that on Feb. 2, 2022, Mamun Mia found Rafiqul Islam’s bloodied body in Natherpara village in Dhanbari and informed police. Police quickly prepared an inquest report and sent the body to the morgue.
