Bikrampur foundation sells iftar package for 10 taka to 500 Munshiganj families

TONGIBARI — The Bikrampur Manabseba Foundation sold iftar packages for 10 taka each to 500 families in Tongibari upazila of Munshiganj district on Tuesday to mark the holy month of Ramadan.

The distribution was held at the Kamarkhara field in the upazila, where 500 families bought the supplies at the symbolic price.

For 10 taka, each buyer received 500 grams of dates, 1 kilogram of chickpeas, 1 kilogram of grams, 1 liter of soybean oil, 1 kilogram of puffed rice, 1 kilogram of flattened rice, 1 kilogram of sugar and 1 kilogram of onions.

Beneficiaries thanked the organizers and urged that such humanitarian initiatives continue.

Abu Bakkar Siddique Hira, president of the Bikrampur Manabseba Foundation, said the initiative was taken so that no family would go without iftar during Ramadan.

Foundation general secretary Md. Biplob Halder, founding member Md. Robin Howladar, executive member Jasim Molla, joint general secretary Riya Moni and health affairs secretary Fahim Ahmed, among others, attended.
