TARAGANJ, Rangpur — Two truck drivers were killed when their vehicles collided head-on in Taraganj upazila Friday morning, police said.
The crash happened around 7 a.m. Friday, March 13, near the Kharubhaj Bridge in the Hajipur area of the upazila.
The dead were identified as Idris Ali, 35, son of the late Rahidul Islam of the Jaluli area of Maheshpur upazila in Jhenaidah, and Arif, 49, a truck driver from Patuakhali district.
Witnesses and police said a truck loaded with fertilizer heading toward Saidpur and another loaded with stones heading toward Rangpur collided head-on near the Kharubhaj Bridge. The fronts of both trucks were crushed and the two drivers died at the scene.
