Education board tells schools to halt HSC mock tests

DHAKA — The Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board has directed schools not to hold mock tests for the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations until further instructions are issued.

The board said in a statement that the dates for the selection tests would be announced later through a notification. In the meantime, schools have been told to continue regular classes.

The directive, signed by S.M. Kamal Uddin Haider, examination controller of the Dhaka Education Board, was issued Sunday.

It said that regular classes for twelfth-grade students who plan to sit for the 2026 HSC examinations would continue, and that schools were requested not to conduct selection tests until further notice.

The statement said the dates for the selection examinations would be announced later through a notification. The board described the matter as urgent.
