RAJSHAHI — A court has granted a five-day remand for Limon Mia, 35, the sole suspect in the killing of Tawsif Rahman Sumon, 16, son of Rajshahi Metropolitan Sessions Judge Abdur Rahman, who was murdered after an intruder entered the family home. Mia will be questioned, and more details about the incident are expected to emerge afterward.
Police sought the remand at the Rajshahi Metropolitan Magistrate Court on Saturday, Nov. 15.
After the hearing, Magistrate Mamunur Rashid granted the five-day remand.
Rajshahi Metropolitan Police Deputy Commissioner (Media) Gaziur Rahman confirmed the matter to reporters.
He said the suspect’s five-day remand was granted. After the order, Mia was taken to Rajpara police station. He will be questioned, and more information about the incident is expected afterward, he said.
