DHAKA — Sharif Osman Hadi, who is undergoing treatment in Singapore, is in critical condition, Singapore Foreign Minister Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan has told Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus by phone.
Balakrishnan visited Hadi on Wednesday, Dec. 17. Hadi, a frontline fighter of the July mass uprising and spokesman of the Inquilab Mancha, is being treated in Singapore.
Balakrishnan then telephoned Chief Adviser Prof. Muhammad Yunus at 9:40 p.m. that day and briefed him on Hadi’s medical treatment. He said Hadi’s condition was very critical.
The Chief Adviser called on the country to remain calm and requested prayers for Hadi.
The information was released by the Chief Adviser’s press wing at 10:15 p.m. Thursday.
