Several drone strikes on a camp for displaced people in Ethiopia’s Amhara region have killed at least 14 people, including children, AFP reported. More people were wounded in the strikes, carried out on Thursday about 250 miles northeast of the capital, Addis Ababa.
Three witnesses gave the account to the AFP news agency on Friday. One of them, given the pseudonym Yassin, said four drone strikes hit the camp one after another. The 14 dead have been buried there, he said, adding that two more of the wounded later died while being treated.
Speaking on condition of anonymity, the witness said a pregnant woman and children were among the dead.
