President Donald Trump was secretly moved to a small government aircraft while returning from Turkey last month amid a threat that Air Force One could be targeted with a shoulder-fired missile, CNN reported.
Trump and close aides left Turkey on the C-32A while several cabinet members remained on Air Force One. Natalie Harp, an executive assistant who regularly travels with Trump, was among those on the smaller plane, along with White House deputy chief of staff Dan Scavino and Oval Office Operations director Walt Nauta. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was also on the C-32A.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller left Turkey on Air Force One. Sources said that before takeoff on July 8, Trump and a few aides moved from the large blue-and-white presidential aircraft to the smaller plane behind a catering truck while Air Force One departed separately with senior officials, White House staff and travelling journalists.
