Iran is again making progress on its nuclear programme, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has told UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Netanyahu presented the information at a meeting between the two leaders in Abu Dhabi on Sunday.
An Israeli official said Netanyahu’s information included new construction at a mountainous site in Iran known as “Pickaxe Mountain”, about 225 kilometres south of Tehran.
The site is thought to be potentially important to Iran’s efforts to rebuild its nuclear programme, but the report did not confirm that uranium enrichment is currently taking place there.
