Incentive high-yielding seeds and fertilizer have been distributed among 4,550 farmers in Chuadanga Sadar upazila to boost the production of paddy and vegetables. The seeds and fertilizer were distributed among the farmers at a program held in the hall room of the Chuadanga Sadar Upazila Parishad at about 11 a.m. on Monday (July 13), where Chuadanga Zila Parishad administrator Shariphuzzaman Sharif was present as chief guest.
Organized by the Chuadanga Sadar upazila administration and agriculture office, the program was presided over by Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Tithi Mitra. Sadar upazila agriculture officer Anisur Rahman and Chuadanga municipal BNP president Sirajul Islam Moni were also present.
At the program, each of 1,250 farmers for the 2025-26 financial year was given, free of charge, a package worth Tk 720 comprising 5 kilograms of high-yielding Aman paddy seed, 10 kilograms of DAP and 10 kilograms of MOP fertilizer. In addition, each of 3,300 farmers was given, free of charge, a package worth Tk 2,005 comprising 160 grams of kalmi (water spinach), 15 grams of hybrid bottle gourd, 5 grams of hybrid ash gourd, 100 grams of Malabar spinach, 5 grams of hybrid eggplant, 5 grams of hybrid cucumber and 10 grams of hybrid pumpkin seeds, along with 15 kilograms of DAP and 15 kilograms of MOP fertilizer.
