Bangladesh, China discuss expanding higher-education opportunities

Discussions were held on expanding opportunities for talented Bangladeshi students to study in China and on strengthening cooperation between universities and research institutions of the two countries. Talks also covered boosting China-Bangladesh cooperation in technical education to build a skilled workforce.

These issues were discussed at a “China-Bangladesh Education Cooperation Luncheon” held Wednesday in Guangzhou, China. Education, and Primary and Mass Education Minister Dr A N M Ehsanul Haque Milon attended as chief guest.

The prime minister’s education adviser, Dr Mahdi Amin, and Md Daud Mia, secretary of the Technical and Madrasah Education Division, attended as special guests.

Senior representatives from several Chinese universities took part, including the vice president of Anhui Normal University and the vice president of Jiangxi University of Science and Technology.
