The Palestinian Prisoners’ Society said Israeli forces arrested 60 Palestinians on Thursday, the second day of an ongoing raid on the Qalandia refugee camp in the occupied West Bank. Those arrested and interrogated on Thursday (6 August) included women and children.
The group’s statement also said that during the ongoing raid, Palestinians had been subjected to severe beatings and intimidation, and that people had been tied up as a means of torture.
Israeli forces also forcibly evicted ordinary people from their homes and destroyed houses and belongings on a large scale, it said.
The Palestine Red Crescent Society said at least 16 Palestinians had been injured in Israeli military attacks during the raid on the camp over the past two days.
