It will take about two to three days for the gas crisis to normalise, Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku has said.

He made the remarks while speaking to journalists at the Secretariat on Thursday.

Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku said: “Freezing is still going on, and once it is finished, gas transmission will resume from the afternoon.”

“Once transmission resumes, the pressure that has dropped will gradually improve. We will be able to draw gas roughly in line with the problem we have run into,” he said.

In response to a question, the energy minister said: “It will take at least two to three days for gas supply to normalise. It will be as it was before the shutdown.”
