Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi issued a sharp warning to Israel after Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei had been “marked for assassination.”
Araghchi said the terms of the Islamabad memorandum of understanding are clear and open to all. He added that President Trump had promised to “keep his pets in Tel Aviv quiet,” and if they disobey their master, Iran will teach them a lesson.
In comments published in Israeli media on Monday, Katz said Iran was trying to extract maximum advantage from negotiations “like a shrewd bazaar merchant.” He also said Israel will never allow Iran to develop nuclear weapons.
In response, Araghchi warned: “Any threat against our people and our leadership will be met with an immediate and powerful response.”
