Iran has responded to a U.S. proposal for a ceasefire through mediation by Pakistan. This has been confirmed by Iran’s national news agency IRNA.
On Thursday, IRNA stated that the first step of the proposed plan would focus on ending the conflict. Al Jazeera’s correspondent from Islamabad, Kamal Haydar, said Pakistan has confirmed receiving Iran’s response. He added that Pakistanis are now awaiting the reaction from Washington after receiving the message.
The international community is now watching for subsequent actions as Pakistan successfully conveyed Iran’s message or response.
