In a series of intelligence operations in Iran’s south-eastern Kerman province, the country’s intelligence ministry has arrested 21 people accused of links to the Israeli spy agency Mossad.
In a statement, the ministry said the detainees had gathered information from sensitive and secret military and defence sites and passed it to Mossad, which it described as a terrorist agency.
The ministry’s intelligence forces also identified and arrested four armed criminals in the province, Iran’s semi-official Mehr News Agency reported. Several weapons and quantities of military and hunting ammunition were recovered and seized from the detainees.
