TEHRAN, Sept. 26 — Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said Israel and the United States are pushing Muslim countries into conflict with one another to keep control over the Middle East’s resources and power. In an interview with Al Jazeera, he claimed that Muslim countries’ airspace had been used to attack Iran.

On Yemen, Pezeshkian said the dispute between the Houthis and Saudi Arabia is not connected to Iran and should be resolved through dialogue between the two sides. He said Iran could help on the issue if necessary.

Discussing U.S. and Israeli attacks and sanctions, the Iranian president said Iran would not submit under pressure. He said the idea that Iran’s government would quickly collapse by dragging regional countries into war had been proven wrong. He stressed mutual cooperation among the countries concerned for regional security, rather than any outside policeman.
