The actor Meghla Mukta is in intensive care. She is undergoing treatment at a hospital in the capital, and preparations are under way for emergency surgery. The news was announced on Meghla’s Facebook page.
A post on Meghla’s Facebook page on Wednesday said: “It is with a very heavy heart that we inform you that Meghla Mukta has been in a terrible accident.
“She is currently in the ICU (intensive care unit) and preparations for her surgery are under way. Please keep her in your prayers at this difficult time. We hope for successful surgery and a swift recovery.”
Calling for restraint over misinformation, the post added: “Please do not spread any unverified information or rumours. We will announce any new update on the official page as soon as we receive it.”
Meghla Mukta’s followers expressed concern at the news. Many wished the actor a recovery in the comments.
Meghla worked on the ramp. She also acted in a Telugu film called “Sakala Kala Vallabhudu.” She has appeared in the Bangladeshi films “Payer Chhap,” “Kathgolap” and “Agunner Pakhi.”
Most recently she drew attention for her performance in the web content “Chakra 2.”
