A day will come when Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan will once again become part of India, controversial Indian yoga guru Baba Ramdev claimed, saying Indians simply need to be patient. He made the remarks while speaking to reporters at Swami Vivekananda Airport in Raipur.

He said Hindus are being persecuted in Pakistan and Bangladesh, adding: “My concern for India’s future is that while democracy guarantees freedom of expression, that freedom should remain within the bounds of the constitution and morality.”

Ramdev said the persecution and injustice Hindus have faced in Pakistan and Bangladesh rank among the cruelest episodes in human history.

He said that whatever religious changes have taken place in the country, steps must be taken to ensure no one faces persecution in the future. In India, he said, no religion, Hindu, Muslim, or Christian, is under threat; rather, what is under threat is India’s honor and dignity. “I want India to receive equal respect in every country in the world, including the United States, China, and Russia,” he said.
