The Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party (VDP) has issued a recruitment notice to fill ‘sipahi (male)’ posts in the 28th batch of its Ansar Battalion. Applications opened on 27 June and can be submitted online until 19 July.
Organisation: Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party. Post: Sipahi (male). Batch: 28th. Educational qualification: passed the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) or equivalent examination. Marital status: candidates must be unmarried.
Physical requirements — Height: a minimum of 5 feet 6 inches (1.676 metres) for general and other candidates, and a minimum of 5 feet 4 inches (1.625 metres) for candidates from small ethnic communities.
Weight: a minimum of 49.895 kg (110 pounds) for general and other candidates, and 47.173 kg (104 pounds) for candidates from small ethnic communities.
Chest measurement: 32 inches normal and 34 inches expanded for general and other candidates; 30 inches normal and 32 inches expanded for candidates from small ethnic communities. Eyesight: candidates must have 6/6 vision.
Age limit: applicants must be between a minimum of 18 and a maximum of 22 years old as of 19 July 2026. No affidavit will be accepted as proof of age. The application deadline is 19 July 2026.
