Explosions have again been reported in the Iranian port city of Bandar Abbas. A live report by the Qatar-based Al Jazeera, citing Iran’s state media, said at least five explosions were heard in the city. The extent of any damage or casualties was not immediately known, and Iran did not confirm whether the United States was responsible for the explosions.

US forces have been carrying out attacks in various parts of Iran for three straight nights, and in response Iran has been launching surprise attacks on US bases in various Middle Eastern countries. Amid this situation, fears have grown of war spreading across the entire Middle East, with the Strait of Hormuz now becoming the main focal point of the US and Iranian attacks. Iran’s army has said that Hormuz will never be opened under US aggression, while on Monday US President Donald Trump announced that they would take control of Hormuz.
